Application Developer I
Use SharePoint to deliver and support business systems which meet business needs and opportunities by integrating information, business process and technology in a cost effective, timely manner.
- Collaborate with multiple business areas to establish solutions to business problems.
- Prepare for migration from SharePoint System 2007 to SharePoint System 2010. Considerable amount of planning and testing was required prior to updating SharePoint 2007 from an old server to a new server hosting SharePoint 2010. The update was successfully completed in early 2013.
- Maintain SharePoint groups and Group Management for Aetna Medicaid SharePoint site. Fulfill requests from users to be placed in the proper groups for access to the many Medicaid sub-sites. Strict security measures were followed to determine who should have Read, Contributor, Design or Full Control access.
- Provide guidance on SharePoint functionalities to the Aetna Medicaid users. Introduced the use of SharePoint Workflows to work groups that required documents to be routed between group members to give feedback and/or approval after the document is reviewed by group members; use of Workflows have saved considerable amount of time and is a more efficient means of tracking participation on creating the final document.
- Fulfilled requests for SharePoint support and maintenance. Often the support request is repeated by different individuals; this prompt me to write a ‘How-To’ guide on the process used to fulfill the support request; these guides were made available via SharePoint for anyone to download and use.
- Assist with the annual Records Cleanup Event as Unit Records Manager. Oversee and participate in implementation and compliance with the Records Retention and Destruction (RR&D) policies and procedures for the Program Management Department.
